Thursday March 17th

We spent the afternoon on the famous Las Vegas Strip.  Took in the sights to check out the new hotels and casinos that were not there on our last visit about four years ago.  It is mind boggling how big and glitzy this place is.

We had lunch at the MGM Grand then went to the new Las Vegas Harley Davidson shop.  They claim it is the biggest dealer in the world.  I'm not sure what they use as guide, perhaps it's some sales thing, because Destination Daytona H-D it at least twice the size.  They did have lots to look at but we only bought a few trinkets.  Their prices are getting outrageous.

Later in the evening, we went to visit my cousin Terri and her daughter Christina.  Her new place is beautiful and is located in a court-yard setting with a very European feel..  They took us for a tour of the area where they live on the west side of Vegas.  We saw the school where she teaches, and the school Christina attends.  She took us to an overlook area where the lights of the city seemed to go on forever.

After dinner, we said our goodbye's.  In the last week, I've had to say goodbye to a lot of family, but the good side is that in order to say goodbye, we had to say hello.

Mike, You should have headed north from Las Vegas to the Hoover Dam. Quite a view and very nice side trip .

Don, We went to Hoover Dam on the bikes the last time we were there. You're right. It was incredible. Didn't want to go that way with the motor home. We were advised to use the truck route due to construction & restrictions.
